What Are People Saying About Torvik?
At Torvik Athletic Center we have been changing lives in our community for the better through our martial arts program. We have been a part of the community since 2006 doing martial arts training and producing over 35 black belts through our style of American Taekwondo. People that start with us are sometimes timid and weak, and leave confident and strong after a short period of time. Martial arts has proven time and time again to improve confidence, discipline, respect, and strength in both children and adults.
Mission
A stronger healthier community is a better community and our mission is to make people stronger and healthier so they can live longer, happier lives doing the things they love with the people they love.
Who we are
Our martial arts journey began in 2003 when our founder and owner, Ginger Torvik, decided to take the six youngest of her seven children to a homeschool co-op where a taekwondo class was being held. The family fell in love with this activity and poured the next few years of their lives into perfecting the art and getting black belts. Now, five of those six children, in addition to Ginger Torvik, are black belts and the two youngest, Matthew and Derrick Torvik, are currently running the taekwondo academy and Ninja Trix program.
Our process
Consultation: during this part of the process you will come meet us for a short consultation so we can hear all about your goals and what you want to accomplish so we can come up with a game plan for you. You will also get a full tour of our facility so you feel comfortable with where you will be training.
Training: Next is the part you came here for! Once we have a game plan, we will schedule your first workout and decide how many times you should come in to accomplish your goals. Only thing left to do is show up ready to work and leave the excuses at home.
